If
you are traveling to the airport by car from the north [Surfers
Paradise] be careful not to miss the main entrance turn off. If you
miss the turn off you can get stuck on the freeway till you come to the
Tweed Heads turn off. Then you will have to come all the way back to
the airport via Coolangatta. The signs are very clear, just stay in the
right hand lane as you approach the airport.
If
you have
some time to kill whilst waiting for a flight and you want a bite to
eat, there are cafe's at the terminal. However as a local, we recommend
you walk up or drive to "Super Chook". This take away cafe has
outstanding food, service, is very inexpensive and has a good variety
menu.
If you arive at the domestic terminal from
a flight
take a look at the right hand wall as you come through the
doors.
You will find a very good location map of the Gold Coast, pin pointing
where you are now. This will give you a good overview of the whole
coast.
