Restaurants play an important role in the vacationers itinary. Finding a great restaurant  is not easy when you are new to an area. Also what one thinks of as a great restaurant will vary from each individuals taste. Taste not only in food but ambiance as well.
I love good food and the whole social interaction that is entailed in sharing a good meal with good company.

My highest recommendation for a seafood restaurant is "Omeros Brothers Seafood Restaurant" at 4 Marina Mirage, Seaworld Drive, Main Beach, Gold Coast. Phone 61 7 5591 7222. To see their menu.  Australia has a wonderful range of seafood - Ormeros  prepares it to perfection. Situated right on the waterfront you can dine inside or out on the boardwalk. Below are some photos I took from  the boardwalk at Omeros Brothers Restaurant. My mother who is over eighty is an exelent cook and a discerning restaurant critic. She has eaten at the best restaraunts around the world. When she comes to visit me on the Gold Coast she always wants to return to Ormeros.

Bunga Raya Malaysian Restaurant 3110 Gold Coast Highway Benowa, QLD, phone 61 7 5570 3766 Years ago this restaurant was located in Broadbeach. I have not been to the restaurant since it has moved. I must  visit them again because they served up the best Malaysian meals I have ever eaten in Australia. Super Chook Phone: 61 7 5536 1633 For the best and most economical take away and catering service on the Gold Coast. Always fresh and delicious the taste of the food at this cafe will surprise you. Well worth a visit if you are waiting for a plane or have just arrived at the Coolangatta airport. A real favourite with the locals, fast friendly service here.
